The Versatile Blogger Award... You Looking At Me? Really?

*I started this post a little while ago, and then it got well, lost.  In my Drafts.  :/ My apologies to my lovely nominator, Jaime from Mom's Test Kitchen.  Better late than never, right?? ;)

Well, I am flattered and honored once again to have been nominated by another fellow blogger for a coveted blog award.  This time for The Versatile Blogger Award...

What is The Versatile Blogger Award?  A pat on the back, a gold star if you will from one blogger to another to let them know that they like what you are doing in your little corner of the blogosphere.  It does feel good to be recognized and appreciated, right? :)

First, let me thank Jaime from Mom's Test Kitchen for the lovely nomination.  I have been loving the recipes on this lady's blog. :)

Now, on to the rules...
When nominated for The Versatile Blogger Award, you are asked to do each of the following:
  • Thank your nominator. (Done!)^^^
  • Pass the award on to up to 15 other deserving bloggers. (See below.  And I did not nominate 15 blogs.  Holy cow, that is a lot!)
  • Include 7 random things about yourself in your nomination post. (Wow... hope I can think of more randomness to share with you. I may be all tapped out. ;) )
  • Include the rules. (Done.... now!)
  • Notify your nominees by leaving a comment on their blog. (Going to get on that one next.)
So, here goes... 7 MORE random things about me.
1.  I love doing laundry.  It is my favorite chore.  Don't call me strange.
2.  I never dreamed that one day I would be a blogger and would be winning blog awards. ;)
3.  I love playing Time Crisis 3 (or 4) at the arcade.  It is my favorite.
4.  One skill that I seriously lack and REALLY wish that I had is to be able to sew.
5.  As a girl, I once lost a loose tooth when I was hit in the mouth by the door to an outhouse. Seriously.  True Story.
6. I bawled my eyes out the first time I ever flew in an airplane.  In my defense, it was a puddle jumper & the roar of the plane's engines were so loud that no one would have known that I was sobbing so hard unless they looked at me.
7.  I can't eat kielbasa, brats, or most sausage.  Unless it is turkey.  I love the flavor, but it is a texture thing.

Okay, and now for my nominees.  I decided to nominate a few blogs that I love, but was not able to recognize when I was handing out my Liebster Blog Award nominations either because I didn't know how many followers they had or they have a tad more over the 200 follower limit for the Liebster.
And my lovely (and versatile!) nominees are...
Please take a moment to visit all of these Versatile Blogger Award-worthy blogs and say hello. :)

List #9- Favorite Websites and Blogs...

So, here is my list of my favorite websites and blogs, in no particular order:
  • Twitter - I have 2 different Twitter accounts & I am on both just about every day. Oh, the joys of the leading a "double life". ;)
  • Facebook - I use my Facebook to mainly keep up with my in real life friends, and new ones that I have become close to through Twitter.
  • Etsy - Etsy is the best handmade, vintage online shop EVER.  You can find everything on there!  LOVE it!  <3
  • The Undertoad - This is the blog of an IRL friend from high school.  She has a quirky and sarcastic sense of humor that I love, and when times are rough she blogs honestly and raw.  Please check her out if you have a moment.
  • Faces of Loss, Faces of Hope - This is a miscarriage/loss resource site that I have recently found comfort, support, and empathy at.  You can search blogs by loss (1st trimester, 2nd trimester, stillborn, etc.). They also have a Face2Face Groups feature which I love- the ability to meet with others in your local area who have shared your experiences.
  • Half.com - A discount site sponsored by eBay (but there is no bidding!).  I have mainly used the site to buy books at a fraction of their retail cost, and have never had a bad buying experience there (as of yet- knock on wood!).
  • Groupon  livingsocial - I grouped these 2 sites together because they are very similar.  Groupon has been a great site for me to use to find good deals on local restaurants and experiences (such as the whitewater rafting trip we are taking soon, the Legofest coming to Pittsburgh next month, etc.).  Livingsocial has been fabulous for finding awesome deals on weekend getaways (or midweek getaways, like the one we bought for the Virginia wine country B&B!).  I love experiencing life as much as possible, and I love it even more when I can save money doing that! ;)
  • Picnik - So thankful to an IRL blogger friend who turned me on to this photo editing site (Thanks Jac!)  You can join for free (which I have done) and have limited access to most of the features. (A-hem, most of the photo collages you see on my blog have been created on this site!)  For a few bucks a month, you can access all of the site's photo features.
