Milkmakers Cookies It's A Mix! Review {& a Giveaway}

*The opinions below are strictly my own.  Yep, all 100% me, myself, and I.  I was provided a product in exchange for an honest review, and was not compensated for my review in any other way.  If you are interested in having me review an item, please see my Sponsor Page for contact information.

Milkmakers is at it again!  This time with a lactation cookie mix! :)

I jumped at the opportunity to give the new milkmakers It's A Mix! cookie mix a go. Recently it seems like baby girl may be hitting a growth spurt, and I have been a bit concerned about my slightly dwindling breast milk supply.  Once again, here is milkmakers to save the day! :)

I actually only made half the mix and am saving the other half to bake again soon.  It was super simple to make- I poured half the cookie mix into a bowl (about 2 cups of the mix), added the egg, butter, & water and mixed and then baked!  In less than 20 minutes, I had 9 fresh baked & gooey Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies.  (The mix claimed that half the cookie mix would only make 6 cookies, but I easily got 9 out of my batch.  Maybe even 10 if I hadn't snagged a little of the cookie dough before baking. ;) )

The milkmakers Lactation Cookies It's A Mix! also comes in Oatmeal Raisin.  Both mixes can also be ordered in gluten free versions, and you can easily bake up either mix dairy free by substituting the butter for coconut oil.

My love for milkmakers isn't anything new to my long time followers.  Some of you may remember my review and giveaway of their mom-on-the-go Cookies earlier this year.  And then my review and giveaway of their regular milkmakers lactation cookies in the fall of last year.

Milkmakers mom-on-the-go Cookies Review {& a Giveaway}

I am once again teaming up with milkmakers to bring all of my nursing mamas out there another fabulous giveaway.  Some of you all may remember how much I love milkmakers cookies from the review and giveaway I hosted with them in October.  Now milkmakers has come up with a new product perfect for those busy nursing mamas who are constantly running here and there- mom-on-the-go cookies! :)

I received three of each of their two flavors- Dairy Free Oatmeal Raisin and Oatmeal Chocolate Chip (my fave!).  The new mom-on-the-go cookies taste no different than their cookies you would receive in their normal packages.  But they are individually packaged and wrapped so you can quickly and conveniently throw one in your diaper bag or lunch bag before heading out the door.  No fuss, no muss.

Milkmakers cookies are a yummy and natural way to boost your breast milk supply.  They use ingredients like brewer's yeast, oats, and flax seed- all which have been proven to naturally increase supply.
Oh, and best yet?  Milkmakers is a mommy owned business started by Emily Kane who needed a safe and natural way to boost her own supply when she was nursing her babies.

Milkmakers has been gracious enough to offer to give one of my readers a 20 pack of their mom-on-the-go lactation cookies (a $39.99 value).  You just have to use the Rafflecopter below to enter!
*Please note- This giveaway is open to U.S. residents only.  Please see the additional terms and conditions in the Rafflecopter below.

Cookies & Milk... makers! {Review & Giveaway!}

When my baby girl was about 2 months old, I was fortunate to win a daily giveaway for lactation cookies from milkmakers on their Facebook page.  You posted a cute pic of your baby, and everyday that month they chose one of the photos posted and the reader got a free pack of their milk boosting cookies.  I guess I need to thank baby girl and her irresistible cuteness for our win. ;)

Millmakers cookies come in two yummy flavors- Oatmeal Chocolate Chip and Oatmeal Raisin (which is dairy free, by the way).  I am a chocolate fiend, so I went with the Oatmeal Chocolate Chip.
The cookies were delicious!  They were big, and chewy, and full of rich chocolate chips.  I kind of almost forgot that these cookies were also supposed to be functional. ;)
But after 2 or 3 days of treating myself to just one milkmakers cookie a day, I did notice a difference in the fullness of my breasts and in my milk supply.  I actually won these cookies just as baby girl was embarking on yet another growth spurt.  And as most of my breastfeeding mamas already know, that meant increased feedings and the infamous cluster feedings.
With the help of milkmakers, I was able to keep up with her demand for more breast milk much easier.

I am not going to lie.  I hid these cookies from my husband and my son.  When they discovered them, I referred to my milkmakers as the lactation cookies to deter them away. ;)  I knew that if they tried one, they would eat all my milkmakers, and I wasn't about to let that happen!

So, how can these yummy cookies actually increase your milk supply?  Milkmakers cookies are baked with three key ingredients- oats, brewer's yeast, and flax seed- all proven natural ways to get a boost in the breast milk department.  No iffy herbs or supplements.  Just all natural ingredients.
Milkmakers cookies are perfect for the nursing mama who is anxious about keeping up with baby's demand.  Mamas who want to keep their supply up as they return to work.  Or really any nursing mama they wants a little extra boost in their breast milk supply.

Millmakers has been gracious enough to offer one of my readers the opportunity to win their own 10-cookie starter pack in their choice of Oatmeal Chocolate Chip or Oatmeal Raisin (a $19.99 value).  Just be a U.S. resident and use the Rafflecopter form below to get yourself entered!  Giveaway ends at 12:01am on October 8, 2012.  Good luck, mamas! :)
