'Twas the day before Thanksgiving & I don't know about you all, but I could certainly use a drink. ;) Both of the kiddos have been home from school since last Friday. 

Moments of peace & quiet and a little me time have been very few & far between. And don't get me started on the constant snack requests from the 6 year old & the extra laundry from the college sophomore...

That is why I have already made plans to cozy up with a tasty cocktail tomorrow evening after all of the craziness of Thanksgiving dinner is over.

I think by now that it is no big secret to you all that I love me some Baileys Irish Cream. ;) I love adding a splash of it to my coffee or hot cocoa on a cold winter night or drinking it straight over ice after a particularly long day. 

And I always seem to find a way to sneak a little Baileys into some of my dessert recipes & boozy concoctions for the blog. It is smooth and creamy and pairs perfectly with everything from chocolate to caramel to coffee.

Of course, one of my first experiences with Baileys is when I was challenged to do an Irish Car Bomb on one particular St. Patrick's Day some years ago. Let's just say that is NOT my favorite way to enjoy a little Baileys Irish Cream. ;)

I may not be into football as much I used to be, but I do know one thing- there are some pretty big games on this weekend. ;)  From the NFL playoff games to the NCAA National Championship game on Monday, this weekend was made for football, folks.  

And while I do not have any teams near and dear to my heart playing this weekend (my husband's beloved Steelers have already been knocked out), I have a feeling that my home will still end up being all football all weekend. 

Not that I am complaining. As long as we are serving tasty food and good drinks, I don't care which teams are playing or who's winning.
