So here is the thing, you all... I am keeping a BIG secret from my husband.
Like HUGE.

If he finds out the secret ingredient in these Fudgy Secret Ingredient Cherry Brownies, he may not talk to me for a couple of hours.
Why?
Because he pretty much hates avocados.  Like a lot.
And after I whipped up this batch of thick, fudgy & moist brownies, I let him lick the batter bowl clean.
Which normally he would LOVE me for, but you see there was an entire mashed avocado in that brownie batter. ;)
I sort of held my breath as he started to scrape the bowl clean with a wooden spoon sure that he would know.
But he didn't.  He had no clue.

And I still haven't told him to this day.
Shhhhhhhhhh...

I really wasn't sure if I was going to participate in this month's Behind the Curtain Dessert Challenge.  I had not looked at the ingredients yet for January and wasn't sure I had it in me to concoct a new recipe over the holidays anyways.

But on a whim (& because I was curious), I clicked on over to Lady Behind the Curtain's site just to take a peek.
And boom!
It was pretty much fate, folks.
Hot cocoa and marshmallows are January's ingredients.

And it just so happened that the week before I had the idea to make a homemade ice cream using... you guessed it!  Hot cocoa and marshmallows!

Post updated 10/25/19- This crowd-pleasing Apple Biscoff Crumb Pie deserved some updated photos. I did leave one of the originals down below just so you all can see for yourself why this recipe so desperately needed a little face-lift. ;)

Okay, okay... I obviously need an intervention.

Hello, I am Carrie and I am a cookie butter addict.
There. I said it.

Need proof?  Remember when I dedicated an entire week on the blog just to cookie butter? ;) Yeah... there was that.

And I am not going to lie.  I have been pining away for fall because I KNOW that Biscoff (also known as cookie butter under some labels) is the perfect complimentary flavor to just about all of the popular fall flavors.

Pumpkin?  Heck yeah! (And yes, there will be recipes coming to the blog soon marrying our favorite orange gourd with our favorite non-peanut butter spread.)
Apples?  Of course!

I don't know how it is where you all are living, but it is peach season here and they are CHEAP. They have been on sale at our local grocery store for just 99 cents a pound for the past two weeks. Needless to say, we have been enjoying a lot of peaches in this house lately. I haven't heard a single soul complain though. ;)

When I started brainstorming what I wanted to create with some of these juicy peaches, I had these gorgeous day old (or maybe 2 or 3 day old, but who's counting?) rolls that I needed to use asap...
