My son, who is now a junior in high school, has reached that level in math and science where I am absolutely no help to him whatsoever. Mentored employs a strict selection process for their online mentors. Many of their mentors are retired teachers, PhD candidates, & experienced professionals. And every mentor has to undergo an extensive interview, detailed training, and a comprehensive background check before they are permitted to work with students online.
Mentored sessions can last up to 20 minutes each, and only cost $5 per session! When you compare that to a private in-person tutoring session that average around $60 an hour, the savings to parents are more than obvious. Plus, there is no wasted time commuting back and forth to a location for tutoring.
